COVID-19 Response and Policy Changes

The safety of our patients and staff has always been and remains a top priority. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have implemented extraordinary measures and additional protocols, including mandatory masking in our facilities, to help ensure a safe and clean environment for our patients, physicians, and staff. We continue to actively monitor and respond to recommendations made by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) and the Aiken County Health Department.

Visitors will be limited to our facilities due to the increase of positive COVID-19 infections in our community. While in our facilities, please maintain 6 or more feet from others. As an additional precaution, upon entering the facility all employees, medical staff, guests, patients, and vendors must be screened for COVID-19 and should let the facility know if you are unable to attest to any of the following screening questions:

I have not experienced any of the following COVID-19 symptoms within the last 24-hours:

  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Headache
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Abnormal fatigue
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • New loss of taste or smell
  1. I am not experiencing any flu-like symptoms.
  2. I am free from fever (>100’F) or chills within the last 48-hours
  3. I have not had contact with six feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes over a 24-hour period starting two days prior to symptom onset or positive specimen collection.
  4. I have not traveled out of the county within the last 14 days (including cruise ships.
  5. I will sanitize my hands upon entry into the facility, re-sanitizing as appropriate and necessary.
  6. Per CDC guidelines, I will mask appropriately and in accordance with facility policy.

Any patient that is experiencing symptoms or has COVID-19 will continue their appointment in our mobile unit. Patients will be directed to stay in their car until the start of the appointment. Thank you for your cooperation.

Who is Eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot?

COVID-19 Vaccine booster shots are available for the following Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine recipients who completed their initial series at least 6 months ago and are:

We currently offer two different COVID-19 Vaccines:

  • Pfizer (12+) – mRNA vaccine that is a two-dose series, 28 days (about 4 weeks) apart
    • BOOSTER NOW AVAILABLE.
  • Moderna (18+) – mRNA vaccines that is a two-dose series, 28 days (about 4 weeks) apart.
