About Me: Outside of RHS, I am a gardener, sailor (small craft), e-biker, hiker, scuba diver, and digital journalist (crafty digital things). I had the honor of serving my country for 33 years. Enlisted after high school and retired several years ago as an officer, achieving my dream of becoming an Army Nurse. Serving and caring for people remains my passion. I believe patients are partners in their health care. Concerns regarding treatment plans and medications matter. My goal is to help patients become educated consumers to make sound choices about their health care. 

Medical School/Residency: 

  • Austin Peay State University – Bachelor of Science, Nursing
  • Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences – Master of Science Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner

Medical Background: I started as an ICU/ER nurse, then become a family nurse practitioner.  Served in a variety of clinics caring for Soldiers, family members, and retirees. Worked in acute care/occupational medicine for 5 years.

Board Certifications: Family Nurse Practitioner, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners

Years of Experience: 19 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
